Kate Moss is being presented with the greatest of honors on January 16th, her 40th birthday. Imitate Modern in London presents a retrospective of Kate Moss by journalist-turned-artist Russell Marshall, featuring ten photographs that span her career. Each image is available in ten colour combinations, producing 100 unique screen-print images. The exhibition will feature iconic images across her career, from her first shoot at ag 14, to the present day, along with mini biographies. The piece called ‘Never Complain, Never Explain’ among them is highly striking. It alludes to an interview in which Kate discusses what she learnt from Johnny Depp; “I was lucky to be with Johnny at that stage. He taught me a lot about fame. He told me ‘Never complain, never explain.’” According to Marshall, while other celebs have come and gone, Kate has remained; she grows brighter and more iconic each year.
‘Kate Moss: 40 - A Retrospective’ will be held at London's Imitate Modern Gallery from January 17 until February 15, 2014.
